Here’s a tidbit of a conversation my son and I had earlier today regarding his baby brother.
“Mom, baby Copper needs some fruit salad.” My son Mo, said as he happily chomped on his own concoction of fruity deliciousness.
“No he doesn’t, he’s happy with his peas.” I said, as I spooned a gob of the Gerber green peas into his semi open mouth.
“MoOHMM. He does need fruit salad. That stuff he’s eating is disgusting.”
“No, it’s not. He likes it, and it’s healthy and good for his little growing body. You should take a lesson from him, and eat your peas when I serve them to you.”
“Just wait till he can talk, he’s going to tell you not to feed him that stuff.”
“Really, What do you think he’s going to want me to feed him.”
“Um, anything but yucky vegetables. He’ll want things like fruit salad, ring pops, and ice cream. I bet he’d open his mouth real wide. Like this.” He informed me, opening his mouth as wide as it would go for effect.
“Yeah, I see your point. But he’s going to eat his peas while I can get him to eat them.”
Those are odds I can’t argue with.

I’m going to have to agree with him… I’d much rather have a ring pop or some ice cream!
But, like you, I force-feed my kids veggies!
how funny!
The things kids say. Thanks for the laugh!
What a cute conversation! Kids are so literal and frank about stuff.
How funny! I love your site, it’s too cute. I found your link from Mom Dot.
