My boys and I spent the afternoon at our pool. I hid beneath my umbrella much of the time, but we had some great moments in the water, my sons and I. One clinging around my neck timid at first, slowly-very slowly becoming braver while my other boy jumped and dived, twirled and spun in the crystal blue water.
Four years ago if someone asked me what my favorite season was, my reply was always the same. “Winter.” However, since moving to northern Virginia and spending the better part of the year freezing I have a whole new appreciation for summer. I grew up in Miami where it is summer year round (mostly) so naturally when we moved here I loved the idea of the changing seasons and that hasn’t changed, what has changed is my new found adoration for all things summery.
I’m taking it all in and enjoying every moment.

I love it! & so true, comming from Cali(although always a summer girl) I was thrilled about the changing seasons, and yes just as you still really appreciate them, but after last winter….Maybe not as much..Lol I think it is beautiful, but somehow freezing looses charm while warmth, sprinklers and laughter doesn’t*)………xo
What a great day and moment for you! I know it all too well…
