Aside from writing for my other blog, I hadn’t been writing much until last week. I set a firm goal for myself, with regards to when I wanted to have my novel completed and then got to the work. I had some trouble in the beginning with a few scenes. I tried outlining and that didn’t work out for me. Instead I simply wrote down “beginning”, “middle” and “end” in my notebook and wrote down important things I want to happen. Just seeing that on paper was all the organizing I needed and it really helped to motivate me.
I’m a visual person and my writing is a visual experience for me. I see my characters and the things that happen when I write. Sometimes I like to go look at pictures, or read quotes that help inspire me.
I’ve decided to post phrases or pictures that inspire me here and the reasons behind them. Maybe they’ll help inspire you too!
I found this quote inspirational, because I am writing a love story and this one left me starry eyed.
Nicole Olea’s love language is communication. She does this best using her keyboard as a freelance copywriter and editor. Creative and resilient with high-level experience in social media management, content creation, and eCommerce marketing, Nicole Olea was a professional volunteer, sharing her skills with various non-profit organizations who paid her in hugs. For the last 20 years, she’s lived a quasi-nomadic life, moving across the country and the Atlantic with her active-duty husband and their three kids. She’s awkwardly stumbling toward her goal of becoming a saint. She’s got God-sized dreams and wants you to have them too!
Great quote, and words to live by!

Congratulations for taking on writing a novel. Has always been a dream to write a book…some day…maybe…
I like the way it was presented too.
That is a great quote. I love your idea for technique!
that is an awesome quote š
Great quote!!!
I LOVE that!!!!
I absolutely love that quote!
I admire you for having the discipline to write a book. I would also love to write one but I have no idea where to even start and that fact alone makes the entire process overwhelming. I like your idea of breaking it down.
That is a technique I had not heard of or tried. Write down beginning, middle, end. Genius in simplicity.
